DEEP DRILLING

Deep drilling refers to the machining of holes with a relatively large depth-to-diameter ratio.

Deep drilling is the processing of holes with a ratio of depth to relatively large diameter, normally holes with a depth greater than ten times the diameter are considered to be deep drilling and require a specific drilling methodology.

By its nature, deep drilling is a process that often pushes the physical limits of technology and materials: everything must be carefully planned.

We can meet the most varied needs of the customer by making holes in the axis and off axis with precise holes, tolerances centesimal and an excellent degree of roughness.

Deep drilling can be carried out by means of a system with a cannon point and the drilling range ranges from a minimum diameter of 2 mm, for a depth of 1000 mm. (obviously the maximum drilling depth is linked to the diameter of the hole).
